Can I cancel a confirmed booking?

As an owner, it’s essential to keep your calendar up to date to avoid cancelling confirmed bookings. Properly managing your availability ensures a high level of service for renters and helps prevent unnecessary cancellations.

Cancellation After a Confirmed Booking

Once a booking is confirmed (after the renter has made payment), you commit to honouring the reservation unless there is a force majeure event. If you cancel without valid justification, your listing may be downgraded in search results. If this happens repeatedly, a penalty of £150 may apply. In cases of frequent cancellations, further actions such as the suspension or removal of your listing could be considered.

The following events allow cancellations without incurring penalties:

  • Vehicle breakdown or accident that renders the vehicle unusable
  • Serious illness or accident preventing your presence on the departure day
  • Any unforeseen circumstance that prevents the rental from taking place

If, for any reason, the rental cannot proceed, you must inform the traveller and cancel the reservation directly from your dashboard.

Cancellation of an Instant Booking

If you receive an instant booking and need to cancel it, you have 24 hours from the confirmation to do so without penalty. After this period, the same cancellation conditions mentioned above will apply.
