Meet Vandoorne, my self-converted, beautifully designed campervan. Not much is left of the original interior, with fully insulated, wood lined ceiling and walls, rear windows, a stunning countertop, loads of storage, and vinyl flooring, you’ll feel cosy and warm wherever you park up. Solar panels and a large water tank make Vandoorne ideal for short or longer off-grid trips and the comfy pull out double bed means you’ll always get a good night’s sleep.
Other features include:
20L fridge
Sink and tap
Portable stove with gas
Fitted sheet, duvet and pillows
Charging points
Loads of storage
Roof light
Reading and fairy lights
Trowel and toilet paper (you know why..)
I’ve had Vandoorne for about a year now and he’s managed some huge trips including the NC500, the European Alps, Cornwall and loads of weekends surfing and climbing with me and my girlfriend. I’m pretty tall but always find we have loads of room to relax if the weather’s bad and for sleeping.
One of the best things about Vandoorne is that he’s super nice and comfortable to drive, and pretty good on fuel consumption. Not being too big makes those backroads much more accessible and allows the full off-grid experience without having to worry about parking or getting stuck. I hope you enjoy him as much as I do!

Hi, I am a 28 year old civil servant living in London. During lockdown I moved home and decided to convert a van into a camper - Vandoorne was born! I love climbing, surfing, hiking and anything else outdoors, and I've found that being able to sleep pretty much anywhere has been brilliant for these hobbies. I'm always up for a chat so let me know if you have any questions about the hire and your trip plans and I'll do my best to help out :)
