Listen up, stranger! If you’re looking for one of those modern, silent, soulless vans… keep riding, ‘cause Bandida ain’t for the faint-hearted. But if you’ve got the guts, love the scent of adventure (and a bit of diesel), and want to cruise across Portugal in true classic outlaw style, then hop in the driver’s seat and buckle up.

BANDIDA is a 1980 Ford Transit with more personality than most cowboys out there. She’s got room for three bold travelers and everything you need for unforgettable nights under Portugal’s starlit skies. But beware—she ain’t a lady who makes things easy. She can be a little stubborn on cold mornings, runs on just four gears, and ain’t in a hurry to get anywhere. Just like a true outlaw, she knows the journey is just as important as the destination.

WHAT’S IN HER SADDLEBAGS?

• Cowboy Comfort: A double bed with pillows and bedding. If an extra outlaw is tagging along, there’s room for a floor mattress and a sleeping bag.

• Contraband Restroom: Chemical toilet (20€ one-time usage fee, plus 20€ if you don’t have the guts to empty it before returning).

• Saloon Kitchen: Two-burner gas stove (extra gas bottle: +15€), sink with clean & grey water system, cookware, dishes, coffee maker, and even a toaster!

• Panoramic Rooftop: A wooden rooftop deck perfect for watching the sunrise with your morning coffee or catching a cowboy tan.

• Secret Stash Spaces: Storage under the bed for luggage and gear, plus dedicated racks for a skateboard, surfboards, and bicycles.

• Good Vibes Kit: Bluetooth speaker, picnic welcome kit (cooler, tablecloth, and welcome goodies), outdoor table, and three camping chairs.

• Off-Grid Power Tricks: Dual USB sockets for phone charging and a solar power bank for extra devices.

• Safety First, Outlaw Life Second: First-aid kit and fire extinguisher included.

• Bandits Ain’t Filthy: After your campground shower or a rinse with the portable outdoor shower, hang your towels and clothes with the handy drying line—just tie it between the van and some trees.

Bandida don’t need no fancy satellite navigation! Inside, you’ll find a travel guide with pre-planned road trip routes, detailed maps, and handpicked stops at the best food joints and must-see locations. Just follow the maps, trust your instincts, and let the adventure unfold.

LEAVE YOUR MARK – BECOME A LEGEND!

Bandida carries a vintage-style instant camera so you can capture your wild memories! The rental includes one roll of 20 photos, with extra rolls available for +20€ each. But there’s one golden rule: you gotta leave your mark in Bandida’s Memory Book! Stick a photo, write a note, and become part of the outlaw legacy. Who knows? Maybe one day you’ll cross paths with your own story again.

Skateboard:

• 5€ / 1 day | 8€ / 2 days | 10€ / 3 days | +2€ per extra day

• FREE for rentals of 7+ days

Surfboards:

• 15€ / 1 day | 28€ / 2 days | 38€ / 3 days | +8€ per extra day

Vintage “Pasteleira” Bicycles (with saddle bags):

• 15€ / 1 day | 28€ / 2 days | 38€ / 3 days | +8€ per extra day

THE SHERIFF’S RULES

• Deposit: fully refundable after a full check by the Sheriff to make sure Bandida comes back in one piece, free of duel scars. This deposit covers any damage, cleaning fees, unemptied chemical toilets, extra gas bottles, and additional photo film. Don’t worry—treat her right, and you’ll get your coins back!

• Final Cleaning Fee: 40€ (or clean her up yourself and pay nothing).

• Pick-up & Drop-off: Default location is São Julião Beach, but other locations may be arranged for an extra fee.
