From sleek A-class models to versatile coachbuilts and low-profiles, there’s a motorhome for every adventure—whether you need a compact getaway for two or a spacious multi-berth for the whole family.
The campervan is the ultimate all-rounder. Effortlessly practical and built for freedom, it’s just as at home navigating tight city streets as it is exploring the heart of the countryside.
Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way stretches over 2,500 km along the western seaboard, making it one of the longest defined coastal touring routes in the world. From the dramatic Cliffs of Moher in County Clare to the ancient monastic settlement of Glendalough in County Wicklow, the island offers a remarkable variety of landscapes within compact distances — Dublin to Galway is just 210 km, while Cork to Killarney covers roughly 85 km. Rolling green countryside gives way to rugged Atlantic headlands, and narrow country roads wind through regions like the Burren, where limestone karst terrain creates an almost lunar landscape. The Ring of Kerry takes you through some of the most photographed mountain and coastal scenery in western Europe, and the Giant's Causeway in County Antrim draws visitors to its 40,000 interlocking basalt columns on the northern coast. Ireland's roads are generally well-maintained, though many rural routes are single-track with passing places, so a campervan can be a more practical choice than a larger motorhome for exploring quieter corners. With Yescapa, you hire directly from local owners based across Ireland — from Dublin and Cork to Galway and beyond — giving you a wide choice of vehicles suited to everything from weekend coastal escapes to full cross-country tours.
Ireland is wonderful to explore from late spring through to early autumn. May and June bring long daylight hours and wildflowers across the Burren, while September offers quieter roads and golden light along the coast. Summer is peak season, so booking your campervan early through Yescapa gives you the best selection and competitive peer-to-peer pricing. If you visit in August, the Puck Fair in Killorglin — one of Ireland's oldest festivals — is a memorable stop. Campsites across Ireland typically open from Easter to October, with full hook-up pitches widely available during those months.
To help you plan your trip, we have selected six unmissable road trips, suitable for all travelers.
This 600 km route traces Ireland's rugged northwest coast from Galway city to Malin Head in Donegal. Stop at Slieve League's towering sea cliffs and the surf beaches of Bundoran. Ideal for campervans on narrow coastal roads; allow 7–11 days.
An 800 km loop linking Dublin, Cork, Killarney, Galway, and back through the Midlands. You pass Glendalough's monastic ruins and the Rock of Cashel along the way. Suits motorhomes on well-maintained national roads; plan 10–15 days for the full circuit.
A classic 180 km circuit from Killarney through Cahersiveen and Sneem, with mountain passes and Atlantic views at every turn. Campervan-friendly campsites dot the route. Allow 3–6 days to enjoy the lakes and coastal stops at a relaxed pace.
Covering 250 km from Belfast to Derry along Ireland's northern coast, this route takes in the Giant's Causeway and the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. Roads are wide and well-surfaced, suiting both campervans and motorhomes. Allow 3–6 days.
This 350 km route loops from Galway through the wild bogs of Connemara to Clifden, then south across the Burren's limestone pavements to Doolin. Expect narrow roads and limited services — a compact campervan is best. Plan 5–8 days.
A 400 km journey from Waterford to Kinsale via Dunmore East and Cobh, following Ireland's sunny southeast coast. Enjoy seafood harbours and sandy beaches with good campsite availability throughout. Suits all vehicle sizes; allow 5–8 days.

Ireland offers a fine spread of campsites, from Atlantic-facing pitches in Kerry and Galway to peaceful lakeside parks in the Midlands. Most sites provide electric hook-ups, modern shower blocks, and dedicated hardstanding pitches suitable for both campervans and motorhomes. Coastal sites tend to fill quickly in summer, so booking ahead is worthwhile. Many parks also welcome families with play areas and on-site shops.
Ireland has no toll charges for motorhomes on most roads, though a handful of motorways — including the M1, M4, and M50 around Dublin — do have tolls payable by barrier or electronic tag. The M50 uses barrier-free tolling, so you need to pay online within a few days of travel. Speed limits for vehicles over 3,500 kg are 80 km/h on national roads and 100 km/h on motorways. Many of Ireland's most scenic routes are regional (R) or local (L) roads, which tend to be narrow and winding, so take your time and use designated lay-bys for breaks.
Absolutely loved staying in Alfreds campervan. The decor was beautiful. It had everything we needed, a perfect space for two people for time in nature travelling. It was so good having a fridge on the road. He answered any questions I had and the pick up/ drop off was great. Would definitely love to rent it again in the future when we come back to Spain. Thank you!
Patrick was very friendly and went above and beyond his duty to make sure everything went smoothly. He even took us to the station after we dropped the van off. We would highly recommend him.
Foi tudo ótimo! Desde a efetivação do aluguer até ao momento da devolução e ainda depois.
Communication with Guillaume the owner was excellent. Always available to answer questions and give advice about travel destinations. The campervan was a perfect size for our first experience of this type of holiday. We used sites for our 7 night travel experience which worked well with electric/topping up water etc. Overall a great experience and would use this owner again.
Everything went smooth during the whole pick up and return process. The van has seen some life but everything was clean and in great working condition + the price was very competitive when comparing to anything else available at the time. Very enjoyable trip with the van, highly recommended
First class change over everything was explained in detail, beautifully clean just how it should be! The vehicle is a 2026 model so one of the newest I've seen available to hire! Yes I would hire again and highly recommend
