Do you need to cancel your trip?

You can reschedule your trip to other dates or cancel your booking. Go to “My Trips” to cancel or change your booking.

Cancellation policy:

The booking is confirmed

If the cancellation is 30 days or more before departure, you will be reimbursed 95% of the rental cost (insurance and service fees excluded).

30 days before departure

If less than 30 days before departure, no reimbursement will be possible, the total amount of the transaction is due.

Eligible reasons:

  • A natural disaster has occurred at the place of departure of the vehicle or prevents movement for your entire trip;
  • Your flight or train to get to the destination has been cancelled
  • Government restrictions in force prevent the movement of people or impose a quarantine on departure or return (exclusion in case of a positive covid-19 test or declared close contact case);
  • A military operation or an armed conflict is declared on the place of departure or the itinerary.

Your cancellation will be considered subject to verification of the reason by our team.

Think about cancellation insurance!

It allows you to cancel up to the day of departure and covers you for any unforeseen reasons for cancellation not due to force majeure.

Go to My Trips > select the relevant rental > Cancel > Force majeure cancellation.

The terms of your rental credit will be indicated and a receipt will be requested. It is possible to cancel for reasons of force majeure up to 48 hours before the departure date.

In the event that the owner is unable to deliver the vehicle to the renter due to force majeure, the owner must inform the renter immediately and contact our team by email indicating the booking reference.

The amount of the rental credit is equal to the service charge and insurance of the cancelled booking. It may also include the owner's remuneration, depending on the cancellation method chosen by the owner:

Each owner can determine the condition of cancellation in case of force majeure. Depending on the choice indicated by the owner in their profile, the amount of the owner's remuneration may be refunded to the renter, or stored in the form of a rental credit, usable on one of the vehicles of the same owner, valid for one or more rentals, confirmed within 12 months of the cancellation of the initial booking.

The renter will be informed of the cancellation terms applicable to their rental when requesting cancellation.

The rental credit allows you to travel at later dates, and will automatically be deducted from the amount of the new rental depending on the nature of the credit:

  • the rental credit of an owner share will be deducted from the new owner share of the future rental ;
  • the insurance and service charge rental credit will be deducted from the new insurance and service charge portion of the future rental.

As the cancellation insurance is offered by an external entity to Yescapa, if you have subscribed to this insurance, the amount paid will not be reimbursed.

The rental credit can be used in several instalments. After the expiry date the rental credit will not be refundable and the owner's share (if any) will be transferred by bank transfer to the owner concerned.
