A perfect example of a Regency architecture town, the art culture is very much present, with a few art festivals throughout the year such as a jazz festival, a music festival, litterature, and perhaps the most famous one the Gold Cup Cheltenham Festival in March. Lewis Carroll even drew some inspiration from the house he stayed in during his regular visits, Charlton Kings, for his world famous novel Through the Looking-Glass. The house is located on Cudnall Street and still contains items such as the looking glass. 

The Cheltenham Spa railway station links Cheltenham to main cities such as Bristol, Cardiff, Plymouth, Birmingham or even London Paddington on the Bristol-Birmingham main line.
